On Tuesday 12th September the LARA lab got together for the first meeting of this academic year. We celebrated our very own Alessandra Valentini passing her viva – congratulations Dr. Valentini! We also welcomed a new research assistant, Lianne Farrer, who is an undergraduate placement student from Aston University. Lianne will be working closely with schools and pupils on a number of interesting projects. Unfortunately, we also had to say goodbye to Lucy Taylor, who has taken on a new role at the University of Reading. However, we hope she will continue to attend LARA lab meetings when she can, and we wish her all the best for the future!
After short presentations from current PhD students Gabbie May and Nicky Dawson, there was much fizz and a very large rainbow cake.
