One of the key focuses of the LARA lab is looking at reading and language development in adolescence. What changes (or not). How much teenagers read (or not). Whether they are motivated (or not).

Earlier this year, Jessie and colleagues published a landmark paper on reading skills and vocabulary knowledge in adolescence and how they develop from age 12 – 14 years. Check out this poster for a summary.

The paper is open access and can be found here.

Watch this space for more on how much teenagers read and how we might encourage them to read more!
